Learning to code is empowering, and it can have profound and exciting impacts upon children. It fosters creativity, helps with problem solving and enhances analytical thinking. Our mission with the AT&T Youth Code Project is to introduce CNY youth to the exciting world of web and software development. We stride to help jumpstart futures in technology, engineering and digital literacy.
AT&T's support for this program is part of the company's legacy of supporting educational programs focused on STEM and computer literacy disciplines in New York through AT&T Aspire, the company's signature $350 million philanthropic initiative that drives innovation in education by bringing diverse resources to bear on the issue including funding, technology, employee volunteerism and mentoring. Aspire is one of the nation's largest corporate commitments focused on school success and workforce readiness by creating new learning environments and educational delivery systems to help students succeed and prepare them to take on 21st century careers.
The AT&T Youth Code Project also grows out of the company's commitment to familiarizing children with the wonders of the internet, while educating them on how navigate with confidence, responsibly and safety. The digital age provides us with wonderful, life-enhancing opportunities as well as the occasional challenge. Whether you are getting your first device, your child is starting to explore the Internet, become technologically literate or rely on your smartphone for everything from communications to playing games to taking photographs, AT&T's Digital You can help them with their privacy, safety and security as they connect online.
Digital You is a comprehensive AT&T program that offers tools, tips, apps, guidance and community education events for people of all ages and levels of online experience to learn more about how to have a safe and secure online experience. Through Digital You, AT&T has collaborated with prominent national and local organizations across the country to assemble and promote expert online safety information in a number of formats.
